Dual-socket SP3 server for EPYC 7002 and 7003

This 2U rackmount barebone accepts two AMD EPYC processors in SP3 sockets. It targets builders who need a general-purpose platform with redundant 1600 W power supplies operating at 200-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The chassis includes front I/O with two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one COM port and one VGA output driven by an Aspeed AST2500 controller. Buyers who want a single-socket system or a tower form factor should look elsewhere.

Tool-less drive bays and riser-mounted expansion

Two hot-swap 2.5 NVMe bays at the front allow drive changes without removing the lid. Two M.2 slots are provided: one M-key with PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA 6 Gb/s for 2280/2242 modules, and a second M-key with PCIe 3.0 x2 for 2280/2260/2242/2230 modules. Expansion uses riser cards: each CPU gets one dual-slot PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and one FHHL PCIe 4.0 x8 slot, plus an OCP NIC 3.0 x16 slot. Dual-slot GPU compatibility must be confirmed with the manufacturer, and full-height cards may require a 1U CPU heatsink change.

32 DIMM slots for DDR4 3200 with ECC

The board populates 16+16 DDR4 288-pin slots in a 2DPC layout, supporting RDIMM, RDIMM-3DS, LRDIMM and LRDIMM-3DS modules with ECC. Maximum memory capacity scales with the chosen EPYC processors and module density. Two NVMe bays plus two M.2 slots cover boot and caching needs, but the platform has no 3.5-inch bays or additional SATA ports for bulk storage arrays. Builders requiring many spinning drives or more than two PCIe x16 devices will exceed the chassis limits.
