The ASUS NUC 14 Pro+ barebone kit arrives as a compact silver chassis with a pre-installed Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor running at a 65W cTDP. Integrated Intel Arc graphics activate when both SO-DIMM slots are populated. Memory, storage and an operating system are not included, so system integrators and enthusiasts choose every component themselves.

Aluminium build with versatile I/O

The aluminium enclosure measures 1.32 kg and provides front access to a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and a Kensington lock slot. Rear connectivity adds two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort 1.4, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A, two HDMI 2.1 TMDS outputs, 2.5G RJ45 LAN and the 150W DC-in jack for the bundled power adapter.

Memory and storage limits

Dual-channel DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM support tops out at 96GB across two slots, and Arc graphics require both slots to be filled. Storage options include one M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 slot (128GB to 4TB), one M.2 2242 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 slot (128GB to 1TB) and a 2.5-inch SATA bay (128GB to 4TB). Buyers who need more than three drives or memory beyond 96GB must choose a larger platform.
