What this cooler is

The ASUS ROG RYUO III 240 ARGB is a new all-in-one liquid CPU cooler with a 280 mm aluminium radiator and two 120 mm ARGB fans. An 8th generation Asetek pump with a three-phase motor drives coolant through sleeved rubber tubes to a copper cold plate measuring 89 x 89 x 68.3 mm. The water block integrates an Anime Matrix LED array that can show system data or custom animations. It mounts on Intel sockets from LGA 115x through LGA 1851 and on AMD AM4, AM5 and TR4 platforms.

Who it suits and who it does not

Builders who want a programmable mini LED display on the pump housing and broad socket coverage across current Intel and AMD desktop platforms will find this cooler matches those needs. Systems limited to a 240 mm radiator mount or cases that cannot accommodate a 280 mm radiator with two 120 mm fans should look elsewhere. Users who prefer air cooling or who need a thinner radiator for tight clearances are not served by this design.

The radiator measures 280 mm in length and requires two 120 mm fan slots, so the case must support that exact mounting layout. Fan speed reaches 2200 ± 300 RPM with airflow of 70.07 CFM and noise of 36.45 dB(A) on a 4-pin connector. If the chassis cannot fit a 280 mm radiator, this cooler cannot be installed.
