What this cooler is and who it fits

The ASUS TUF GAMING LC II 240 ARGB is a 240 mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler built for current Intel and AMD desktop sockets. It supports Intel LGA 1700, 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151 and 1150 as well as AMD AM5 and AM4. The copper cold plate measures 73 x 73 x 45 mm and the aluminium radiator is 277 x 120 x 27 mm. Two 120 mm ARGB fans are included.

Installation experience and common pitfalls

The kit ships with pre‑applied thermal paste, a full bracket set for every listed socket and Y‑cables that merge the two fan headers and the three ARGB leads into single motherboard connectors. Reinforced 400 mm tubing with 10.8 mm outer diameter resists kinking but still needs careful routing in compact cases. The decoupled pump design reduces vibration noise, yet the pump cable must reach a dedicated header. Builders with tight clearance around the VRM heatsinks should verify the 73 mm block width before ordering.

The spec that decides fit

Radiator thickness is 27 mm and total length is 277 mm, so the unit occupies a standard 240 mm mounting grid but adds the extra millimetres of the end tanks. If your chassis specifies a maximum radiator-plus-fan stack of 27 mm or less, this cooler will not fit. The 400 mm tube length limits placement to mounts within that radius from the CPU socket.
