The ASUS TUF GAMING X870-PRO WIFI7 W NEO motherboard paired with the Ryzen 9 9950X creates a ready-to-build platform for advanced AI computing and high-end workloads. The board uses the AMD X870 chipset and AM5 socket, supporting Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors. The CPU delivers 16 cores and 32 threads based on Zen 5 architecture with a 5.7 GHz max boost clock, 64MB L3 cache and DDR5-5600 support.
A 16+2+1 phase design with 80A SPS power stages, an 8-layer PCB and dual 8+8 pin ProCool connectors supplies stable current for sustained heavy loads and overclocking headroom. Asynchronous clock generation further improves stability when pushing frequency limits. This VRM arrangement is the single spec that determines whether the platform can keep the 9950X fed under prolonged all-core stress.
Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256GB in dual-channel mode with AMD EXPO, Intel XMP and ASUS AEMP profiles for easy tuning. Four M.2 sockets provide two PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 connections for fast primary drives and secondary storage expansion. Two SATA 6Gb/s ports remain for legacy drives, while USB4 at 40Gbps and 20Gbps USB-C add high-speed external bandwidth.
