This combo set bundles an ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING motherboard, an Intel Core i5-8400 processor and two Avarum 16GB DDR4 2666MHz UDIMM modules for a total of 32GB. It targets builders who want a matched platform kit rather than sourcing parts separately.

Build and connectivity

The ATX motherboard provides four 288-pin DDR4 slots supporting up to 128GB in dual-channel mode, six SATA 6Gb/s ports with RAID 0/1/5/10, two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots that run at x16 or dual x8, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot at x4 mode and three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. Rear I/O includes four USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports (three Type-A, one Type-C), two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, LAN, optical S/PDIF and five audio jacks driven by the SupremeFX S1220A codec.
