It targets gamers and typists who want tactile, quiet keystrokes with per-key RGB backlighting and dedicated media controls. The detachable soft-touch palm rest adds comfort for long sessions. Onboard storage holds up to three profiles for use without external software.

USB 2.0 interface limits

The keyboard connects via a USB 2.0 interface, which caps data throughput at the standard rate for that generation. This bandwidth is sufficient for keystroke reporting and lighting commands but does not support the higher speeds of newer USB versions. The integrated USB pass-through port shares the same bus, so attached peripherals such as a mouse or headset will also operate at USB 2.0 speeds. No wireless or Bluetooth connectivity is present.

Straightforward setup with one common snag

Plug the keyboard into a USB port and it works immediately; the detachable palm rest snaps on without tools and the textured FPS and MOBA keycaps swap by hand. The main friction point is the CORSAIR iCUE software, which is required to unlock per-key RGB customization, macro programming and full-system lighting sync. Without the software the keyboard falls back to its three hardware-stored profiles and default lighting modes.
