Dell 250W Slim DT Power Supply

This new Dell power supply delivers 250 watts for slim desktop (DT) chassis only. It replaces part numbers CYY97, 3MV8H, 6MVJH, 7GC81 and several equivalent Dell and Delta Electronics units. Compatible systems include Optiplex 390, 790, 990, 3010, 7010, 9010, Inspiron 620s and Vostro 260s. Buyers with mini-tower or small-form-factor cases cannot use this unit.

Capacity and headroom

The 250 watt rating supports the factory processor, memory and integrated graphics configured by Dell for these DT models. Adding a discrete graphics card or multiple drives will exceed the available power budget. The unit has no surplus capacity for high-draw upgrades or overclocked components. Systems requiring more than 250 watts must use a different chassis and power supply.

Proprietary Dell DT interface

This supply uses Dell's proprietary connector and mechanical layout for the slim DT platform. It does not follow the ATX form factor or standard 24-pin pinout. Adapters for standard motherboards are not available and the unit will not fit a generic case. Replacement is limited to the exact Dell DT models listed in the compatibility data.
