This new Dell PowerEdge R630 server fits a 1U rack space and ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2640 v4 processors at 2.4GHz. It carries 384GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a PERC H730 SAS RAID controller. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch drive bays using SATA or SAS interfaces, and no drives are installed.

Suited for dense virtualisation

The dual ten-core CPUs and large DDR4 capacity support heavy multi-threaded applications in a compact form factor. Integrated iDRAC8 Enterprise enables full remote management. Buyers who need more than eight drive bays, GPU compute, or a different processor generation should evaluate other platforms.

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays define storage capacity
