The system ships with 512 gigabytes of registered ECC memory across sixteen DIMM slots and a PERC H730P storage controller with two gigabytes of cache. This configuration targets environments that need high core counts and large memory capacity in a compact form factor. The twelve cores per processor at 2.10 gigahertz with 3.0 gigahertz turbo suit virtualisation hosts and memory-intensive databases. The single LGA 3647 socket type per processor limits upgrades to compatible Intel Xeon Scalable families only.
