Tool-less rails and front-access bays simplify

The chassis accepts standard rack rails and the four drive bays slide out from the front without cable routing through the mid-plane. The PERC H740P RAID controller is pre-seated, but firmware mismatches between the controller and newly added drives can prevent array initialisation until the latest BIOS and iDRAC9 updates are applied. Dual 750W power supplies provide redundancy, yet the fixed 10-inch depth limits airflow in cabinets shallower than 36 inches.

SATA interface caps throughput at 6Gbps per drive

Four 3.5-inch SATA bays share the PERC H740P controller, so aggregate bandwidth cannot exceed the controller’s PCIe lane allocation. The 10GbE 562T adapter offers fast north-south traffic, but east-west replication between nodes will saturate the storage bus before the network. Maximum supported memory reaches 7.68TB across 24 DIMM slots, yet the installed 64GB uses only a fraction of that headroom.
