The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5317 processors, each running at 3.0 GHz with 12 cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules. The platform targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and data analytics workloads that demand high core density in a single rack unit.

Redundant 1400 W platinum power supplies

Two hot-swap 1400 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide N+1 redundancy for continuous operation. The 1U chassis uses front-to-rear airflow to cool the dual-socket configuration and eight drive bays under typical data-center conditions. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote thermal monitoring and power capping without requiring physical access to the rack.

H745 RAID controller with 4 GB NV cache

The PERC H745 front RAID controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a 4 GB non-volatile cache and battery backup to protect in-flight writes during power loss. Eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA trays are included for immediate drive installation. A Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 card and ready rails with a front bezel complete the bundle, while buyers needing NVMe acceleration or GPU compute must add those options separately.
