The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server built on the 15th Generation PowerEdge platform. It houses two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors running at 2.0 GHz with a 3.1 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. A PERC H745 RAID controller with 4 GB NV cache manages eight 1.92 TB SATA SSDs in 2.5 inch bays. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies provide redundant hot-swap power. iDRAC9 Enterprise and Ready Rails with a front bezel are included.

Suited for dense virtualisation and cloud workloads

This server fits environments that need high core counts and fast flash storage in a single rack unit. The dual 28-core Xeon Scalable CPUs and 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 networking support heavy virtualisation, container clusters and data-analytics jobs. Buyers who require more than 1 TB of memory capacity or who need GPU acceleration for AI training should evaluate larger chassis options. Organisations without 10 GbE SFP+ switching infrastructure will not use the onboard network ports at full speed.

1 TB maximum DDR4 capacity

The platform supports up to 1 TB of DDR4 memory across 16 DIMM slots at speeds up to 3200 MT/s. The current 64 GB configuration uses only four slots, leaving headroom for future expansion. If your workload demands memory beyond this 1 TB limit, this server cannot meet that requirement.
