The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a new 1U rack server built for dense compute environments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each offering 32 cores at a 2.0GHz base frequency and a 3.2GHz turbo. The system includes 256GB of DDR4 3200MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32GB modules. It targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing workloads.

Sustained Load with Redundant 1400W Power and H745

Two hot-swap 1400W platinum power supplies provide redundancy during continuous operation. The PERC H745 controller with 4GB NV cache and battery backs RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, protecting data during extended write-heavy tasks. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote monitoring and firmware updates without physical access, keeping the server manageable under prolonged demand.

8-Bay 2.5" Storage with SATA, SAS and NVMe Support

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays accept SATA, SAS and NVMe devices, letting administrators choose the interface that matches each workload. The Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 network card handles traffic at 10 gigabit speeds.
