Dual 22-core Xeon server for dense workloads

The PowerEdge R730xd fits 24 drive bays and two E5-2699 v4 processors into a 2U rack frame. It targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, VDI or HPC data nodes. Sixty-four gigabytes of registered ECC DDR4 and a PERC H730 controller with battery-backed cache support RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Quad-port networking adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links.

Sustained compute with 44 cores and turbo headroom

Two 22-core CPUs deliver 44 threads at a 2.2 GHz base clock and can lift to 3.6 GHz when thermal budget allows. The C610 chipset and 24 DIMM slots let memory scale to 1.5 TB for memory-heavy databases or virtualisation clusters. Twelve-gigabit SAS and SATA lanes from the H730 keep storage throughput steady during long batch jobs or continuous ingest. iDRAC 8 Enterprise provides remote console and lifecycle control without host OS dependency.

Redundant platinum power and front-service cooling

Dual 750 W platinum supplies share load and survive a single-unit failure without shutdown. Front-to-rear airflow across the 2.5-inch drive cage and CPU heatsinks keeps inlet temperatures stable in standard cold-aisle layouts. Hot-swap fans and power modules can be replaced while the system runs, avoiding downtime for maintenance. Rails and bezel are included for immediate rack integration.
