Server identity

The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server built for enterprise workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 5317 processors, each running at 3.0 GHz with 12 cores. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across eight slots. A PERC H755 controller manages twelve 4 TB 7.2K SATA hard drives. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management come standard.

Sustained throughput

The PERC H755 RAID controller provides 8 GB of non-volatile cache backed by a battery, enabling consistent write performance under RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Twelve 3.5-inch enterprise drives deliver steady sequential throughput for databases, analytics and virtualisation workloads. PCIe Gen4 lanes double bandwidth for the controller and the dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 network adapter, reducing bottlenecks during prolonged data movement.
