The PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server equipped with two 12-core Intel Xeon Silver 4410Y processors running at 2.0GHz with 3.9GHz turbo. It ships with 128GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory across 32 available slots. The platform targets virtualization, AI inference, databases and software-defined storage workloads. Buyers needing more than 8TB of memory or more than two sockets cannot use this chassis.

16-bay front storage with H965i RAID

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive trays accept SAS, SATA and NVMe devices, all managed by the PERC H965i controller with 8GB NV cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. An OCP 3.0 slot hosts the quad-port 1GbE Broadcom 5720 network card. PCIe Gen5 expansion slots remain open for additional accelerators or networking. Builds requiring 3.5-inch drives or internal M.2 boot devices must look elsewhere.

iDRAC9 Datacenter and redundant platinum power

Integrated iDRAC9 Datacenter provides full remote management with Lifecycle Controller for firmware updates and bare-metal deployment. Dual 1400W platinum hot-plug supplies deliver redundant power without occupying drive bays. Ready Rails and a front bezel are included for immediate rack mounting. Environments without IPMI-based management or with single-phase power constraints gain no advantage from these features.
