The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server designed for virtualization, database hosting and software-defined storage. Two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors at 2.1GHz with 3.0GHz Turbo provide sixteen cores for multi-threaded workloads. The system ships with 16GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across sixteen slots. A PERC H330 controller manages up to sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays for SAS, SATA or SSD media.

Sustained multi-threaded throughput

Dual processors and registered ECC memory maintain stability during extended virtualization or database tasks. Redundant hot-swap 750W platinum power supplies keep the platform running if one unit fails. The H330 controller delivers 12Gb/s SAS/SATA bandwidth to all drive bays without a battery-backed cache. iDRAC 9 Express provides remote monitoring and lifecycle management independent of the host operating system.

Confirm that your rack or floor space accommodates a 5U tower form factor and that a rack conversion kit is sourced separately if rack mounting is required. The server arrives without drives, so plan the quantity and type of 2.5-inch SAS, SATA or SSD media. Memory expansion uses DDR4-2400 ECC RDIMMs only; other generations or unbuffered modules are not compatible. Front bezel and ready rails are not included.
