AMD AM5 CPU Contact Frame

This aluminum bracket replaces the stock retention mechanism on AMD AM5 sockets to prevent processor warping under cooler pressure. It fits X670 and B650 motherboards and includes an L-shaped screwdriver for installation. Insulating pads on the underside protect against electrical shorts. The frame is designed for builders who want even mounting force without modifying the socket.

Interface and Installation Limits

The part mounts directly onto the AM5 retention holes using the supplied tool and adds 7.5 mm of height above the motherboard surface. It is not a cooler bracket and does not change the cooler mounting pattern. The frame only works with the standard AM5 socket layout found on X670 and B650 boards. Builders using non-standard socket spacing or proprietary retention kits cannot use this frame.

75 mm × 56 mm Aluminum Frame

The all-aluminum anodized body measures 75 mm long by 56 mm wide and distributes clamping load evenly across the CPU heat-spreader. Rounded edges and a sandblasted finish prevent scratches during repeated installations. This dimensional footprint is the single specification that determines whether the frame clears surrounding motherboard components and VRM heatsinks on a specific board.
