A 16+1+2 phase digital VRM with 70 A power stages delivers stable current for high core-count CPUs.
Sustained load on the 16+1+2 phase VRM
The 16+1+2 phase digital VRM uses 70 A power stages to maintain consistent voltage during extended multi-core workloads. Fully covered MOSFET heatsinks and a 6-layer PCB spread heat away from the power delivery area. This design keeps frequencies steady when all cores run at maximum turbo for long periods.
Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use
M.2 Thermal Guard III shields each PCIe 4.0 x4 slot from drive heat, while the VRM heatsinks dissipate power-phase warmth without active fans. Smart Fan 6 adjusts chassis fan curves based on system sensors, keeping acoustic output low at idle and moderate under load. The 2.5 GbE LAN, Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3 controllers add minimal extra heat.
