The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack server built for environments where space is limited but processing density matters. It ships with two Xeon E5-2620 v3 processors, each running six cores at 2.4GHz, providing 24 threads in total. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the 24 available DIMM slots. The system includes an H240ar storage controller and eight 2.5-inch drive bays for local storage configuration.

Suited for virtualised workloads, not GPU tasks

This server fits organisations consolidating multiple virtual machines or running memory-intensive databases within a single rack unit. The redundant 500W power supplies support high-availability requirements. Buyers needing hardware-accelerated graphics, GPU compute or single-threaded performance beyond the installed processors should evaluate alternative platforms. The integrated Matrox G200 controller provides only basic display output with 16MB video memory.

Eight 2.5-inch bays with H240ar RAID

The chassis provides eight small form factor drive bays connected to the Smart HBA H240ar controller, which supports SAS at 12Gb/s and SATA at 6Gb/s. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are available for data protection or performance. No drives are included, so capacity and drive type must be selected separately. The memory architecture uses DDR4 registered ECC modules only; other memory generations are physically incompatible.
