This HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor at 2.4 GHz with 96 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory already installed across 24 DIMM slots. The 1U rack chassis houses eight 2.5-inch SFF drive bays, currently populated with two 500 GB 7.2 K SATA enterprise drives managed by the onboard B140i software RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. Dual hot-swap 500 W redundant power supplies and a Matrox G200 graphics controller complete the base configuration.

Buyers Who Need Hardware RAID

The B140i controller provides software RAID only and is limited to SATA devices, so environments that require hardware-accelerated parity calculations or SAS drive connectivity are not served by this unit. Memory is already at the 96 GB installed maximum for the single-processor configuration shown; expanding beyond that ceiling demands a second processor and additional DIMMs. Organisations needing GPU compute, onboard 10 GbE networking, or a pre-installed operating system must source those capabilities separately.
