Upgrade from older 2U platforms

This system replaces earlier 2U servers limited to lower core counts, slower memory speeds and 6 Gbps drive interfaces. Tool-less rails and hot-swap components simplify

The server mounts on tool-less sliding rails and all eight drive bays, both power supplies and the H240ar controller are hot-swappable. Memory population follows a 12-slots-per-processor rule; installing DIMMs in the wrong channels reduces bandwidth. The single-processor configuration leaves the second CPU socket empty, so a later upgrade needs a matching heatsink and identical Xeon E5-2630 v3 to avoid POST errors.
