The chassis offers eight small-form-factor SAS/SATA drive bays and an onboard HP Smart Array P420i controller with 1GB flash-backed write cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5 and 5+0. A quad-port 1Gb 331FLR Ethernet adapter handles network connectivity, while three PCIe expansion slots remain open for additional controllers or accelerators. No drives are included, so storage capacity and performance are defined entirely by the drives you install.
