The HP ProLiant DL385 Gen10 delivers a dual-socket AMD EPYC 7302 configuration with 32 total cores running at 3.0 GHz and a 3.3 GHz boost frequency. It ships with 512 GB of DDR4 registered memory across 16 modules operating at 2933 MHz. The 2U rack chassis includes an integrated rail kit and redundant 800 W power supplies for data-centre deployment.

SATA III throughput ceiling

Eight 1.92 TB enterprise SSDs connect through a 6 Gb/s SATA III interface to the Smart Array P408i-a controller with 2 GB flash-backed write cache. The SATA III link limits sustained sequential throughput to the interface maximum regardless of individual drive capability. RAID parity calculations and rebuild operations run within this same bandwidth envelope.

15.36 TB usable capacity boundary

The array provides 15.36 TB of raw flash storage suited to read-intensive databases, virtualisation hosts and logging workloads. Write-heavy OLTP or sustained 4 K random write streams will saturate the controller cache and SATA bus before the media reaches its endurance limit. Memory capacity is fixed at 512 GB with no headroom for in-place expansion.
