Compact 1U rack server for virtualised workloads

The HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 fits a single rack unit and ships with two Xeon 6430 processors, each delivering 32 cores at 2.1 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo ceiling. The platform supports DDR5 memory up to 1 TB and is aimed at organisations running dense virtualised environments that need remote management through iLO 6.

Rail kit and Windows Server licence included

A sliding rail kit is bundled so the chassis can be mounted immediately in a standard rack. Microsoft Windows Server 2025 Standard with a 16-core licence is also supplied, removing the need for a separate OS purchase for physical or lightly virtualised deployments. Eight 3.84 TB SAS 12 Gb/s SSDs provide 30.72 TB of raw flash capacity, while the MR408i-o controller with 4 GB cache handles RAID duties. Memory modules and drives arrive uninstalled and must be fitted before first power-on.

Verify rack depth and power infrastructure

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 1U chassis with the supplied rail kit and that redundant power supplies can connect to two independent PDUs or UPS units. The embedded 4-port 1 GbE OCP3 adapter occupies the OCP slot, so any additional networking cards will need free PCIe Gen5 slots. Ensure operational procedures cover the manual installation of the 16 DDR5 DIMMs and eight 2.5-inch SSDs before the server goes into production.
