The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 rack server arrives with two Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 processors running at 1.9GHz, each providing six cores and 8.25MB cache. A total of 512GB DDR4 ECC registered memory is installed across the available slots. The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays, though no drives are included in this configuration. Integrated graphics handle basic display output for management tasks.

Expansion-ready chassis with Smart Array P408

The 2U rackmount enclosure measures 36 x 24 x 10 inches and weighs 40 units, fitting standard racks without modification. An HPE Smart Array P408 SAS controller manages SATA storage devices across the drive bays. Dual 500W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy and free internal space for additional components. Network connectivity includes two 10GbE and two 1GbE ports via Intel I350/X540 adapters. Remote administration is handled by HPE iLO Advanced, and a rail kit is available separately.

Redundant power and remote thermal control

Dual 500W power supplies share the load, reducing strain on each unit during normal operation and allowing continued service if one module fails. The iLO Advanced remote management console enables real-time thermal monitoring and fan-speed adjustment without physical access. With no mechanical drives installed, the primary heat sources are the two CPUs and memory modules, which the system’s airflow design accommodates within standard data-centre temperature ranges.
