Dual Xeon Silver 4110 server

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 is a 2U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors running at 2.1GHz. Each CPU provides eight cores and 11MB cache. The system ships with 1.5TB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across its DIMM slots. It is aimed at organisations that need dense compute and memory capacity for virtualisation, databases or high-performance workloads in a standard rack footprint.

Eight 2.5-inch bay limit

The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays connected through an HPE Smart Array P408 SAS controller. Only SATA hard drives are listed as compatible in the supplied specification. No drives are included with the unit; storage must be sourced separately. The controller and backplane restrict the maximum number of installed drives to eight, so capacity planning must stay within that physical limit.

Rail kit and cabling considerations

The server weighs 40 units and measures 36 by 24 by 10 inches, so two-person handling or a lift is recommended when mounting it in a rack. A rail kit is available on request but does not ship by default. Power is supplied by two 500W Flex Slot power supplies that must be seated firmly to ensure redundancy. Remote management via HPE iLO Advanced should be configured before the first workload deployment.
