The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U rack server built for hybrid environments that need secure, scalable compute. Dual Xeon Gold 5416s processors deliver 16 cores each at 2.00 GHz with up to 4.00 GHz turbo, suited to virtualization, database workloads and multi-application deployments.

1TB DDR5 ECC memory and 15.36TB SAS storage

The system ships with 1TB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory in sixteen 64GB modules and eight 1.92TB enterprise SAS 12Gb/s SSDs totalling 15.36TB. Hot-swappable redundant power supplies and an MR408i-o storage controller with 4GB cache support continuous operation while iLO 6 provides remote management. Memory and drives arrive separately and require installation before use.

Handles virtualized workloads and large datasets

The 16-core per socket design and 1TB memory capacity give ample headroom for dense virtualization and in-memory databases. Storage throughput scales with eight SAS SSDs on a 12Gb/s interface. The 2U chassis and embedded 4-port 1GbE OCP3 adapter set the expansion boundary; workloads needing higher network bandwidth or additional PCIe Gen5 devices will require further infrastructure.
