SATA III 6Gb/s Storage Interface

Four 7.68TB enterprise 2.5-inch SSDs connect through a SATA III 6Gb/s interface managed by the P408i-a controller with 2GB cache and Smart Storage Battery. The SATA III link caps sequential throughput at the bus limit, so sustained write-heavy workflows will saturate the interface before the flash media reaches its own ceiling. RAID overhead further reduces usable bandwidth for parity calculations.

30.72TB Enterprise SSD Capacity

The 30.72TB raw array comfortably holds large databases, VM clusters or backup repositories with room for snapshots and growth. Write-intensive workloads such as transaction logging or continuous ingestion will exhaust the SATA bus and controller cache before the drive endurance ratings become a concern, limiting sustained random write performance at scale.
