This adapter fits two 2.5 SATA drives from 7 mm to 9.5 mm into a single 3.5 front device bay. It is designed for builders who want redundant or expanded storage without using extra bays. A built-in hardware RAID controller manages the array independently of the host system. The unit draws all power from a single SATA 15-pin connector.

RAID 0 1 JBOD BIG Upgrade Path

The integrated controller offers RAID 0 for speed, RAID 1 for mirroring, JBOD for independent volumes and BIG for spanning. This replaces single-drive cages or software RAID setups that lack hardware rebuild indication. The jump is worth it when you need hardware-managed redundancy or combined capacity with hot-swap support. Front LEDs show power, access, drive fail and RAID 1 rebuild status.

Tool-Free Install With Hot Swap

Drives slide into the front bays and lock without tools, enabling hot swap while the system runs. The metal frame mounts into any standard 3.5 bay using the case's own screws. A single SATA 15-pin cable powers both drives and the controller. The only common issue is forgetting to initialise the RAID mode before writing data, which requires a rebuild to change.
