Four-bay NVMe adapter for PCIe 4.0 x16

The LORDWORLD adapter holds four M.2 NVMe SSDs from 30 to 80 mm in a single-width full-height PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. The host platform must support PCIe bifurcation x4, x4, x4, x4 to expose all four drives simultaneously.

Sustained load behaviour with bifurcation

Each drive receives a dedicated x4 PCIe 4.0 link, so throughput scales with the number of installed SSDs rather than sharing a single lane pool. Thermal performance depends on case airflow across the exposed trays; the adapter itself adds no active cooling. Write-heavy workloads across all four bays will saturate the 16-lane uplink if the drives and host controller allow it.

Tool-less trays and bifurcation requirement

Removable trays use a quick-release knob for tool-less SSD installation and removal, simplifying drive swaps. The only common installation issue is a motherboard or CPU that lacks PCIe 4.0 x16 bifurcation support; without it, only one drive will be visible. Builders whose platform cannot bifurcate the x16 slot cannot use all four bays.
