This two-pack provides a pair of black ABS enclosures that turn 2.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs into portable USB 3.0 storage. Each unit accepts drives 7.0 mm or 9.5 mm thick and connects via a Micro USB 3.0 port. The tool-free design lets home users and technicians swap laptop drives quickly without screws or extra tools.

Sustained transfer with UASP

USB 3.0 delivers a theoretical 5.0 Gbps link, while UASP acceleration can raise real-world SSD throughput by roughly 10 to 20 percent on Windows 8 or 10 when a SATA III SSD is used. After three minutes of inactivity the enclosure enters a smart sleep mode that spins the drive down, and it wakes automatically when data access resumes. Safe removal triggers an immediate sleep to protect mechanical platters during transport.

Tool-free install with thickness limit

Slide the drive in, close the lid, and plug the Micro USB cable — no driver installation is required on supported Windows versions. Dual LEDs show blue for power and green for activity so status is clear at a glance. Drives thicker than 9.5 mm such as 12.5 mm or 15 mm models will not fit, so buyers needing to house those taller drives must choose a different enclosure.
