Tool-free setup with mode switch
No tools or drivers are required; drives slide in and a hardware button toggles between SATA and NVMe modes. The included 12 V / 2 A power adapter prevents power-drop issues on larger 3.5-inch drives. Phones must support OTG and supply enough bus power, otherwise the drive will not spin up.
10 Gbps ceiling for NVMe, 6 Gbps for SATA
M.2 NVMe drives can saturate the 10 Gbps USB link, while SATA drives top out at their native 6 Gbps. The 18 TB capacity limit covers current high-capacity mechanical drives. Builders needing RAID, U.2 or PCIe add-in-card speeds will need a different solution.
