Handheld 1D CCD barcode scanner

The MANHATTAN 177672 is a corded handheld scanner built for 1D symbologies. It connects via USB and draws power from the host, so no external supply is needed. A built-in keyboard wedge decoder sends data to the active application as if it were typed. The red LED light source and 35-degree view angle suit retail counters, offices and low ambient light workflows.

50 cm scan depth and 150 scans per second

The scanner reads barcodes up to 500 mm away with a 100 mm wide scan field at the focal point. It resolves codes down to 0.1 mm at a print contrast ratio of 0.9. The engine manages 150 scans per second, while the decoder can process up to 500 scans per second. Supported symbologies include UPC/EAN/JAN, Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, MSI/PLESSEY, GS1 DataBar and several industrial and postal formats. It does not read 2D codes such as QR or Data Matrix.

USB powered with switchable PS/2 cable

The unit operates at DC +5 V ± 5% and draws 150 mA, so a standard USB port provides enough power. A switchable cable allows USB or PS/2 connectivity for broader PC compatibility. At 5.50" x 2.75" x 5.50" and 0.25 lb, it fits easily on a countertop or in a stand. The solid-state CCD engine has no moving parts, reducing wear in daily use.
