Raspberry Pi 5 PoE HAT with Fan

This PoE HAT adds Power over Ethernet to a Raspberry Pi 5 using the standard 40PIN GPIO header. It delivers power through a fully isolated switched-mode supply compliant with IEEE 802.3 af/at. An onboard high-speed fan and metal heatsink provide active cooling for sustained loads. The board is designed for makers and developers building network-powered edge devices.

IEEE 802.3 af/at Power Limits

The HAT follows the IEEE 802.3 af and at standards, which define the maximum power available from the Ethernet link. Power delivery is constrained by the class negotiated with the power sourcing equipment. Long cable runs or lower-class injectors will reduce the power budget for the Pi and any attached peripherals. Plan the power source to match the total system draw.

Active Cooling with Metal Heatsink

The integrated high-speed fan and metal heatsink are the primary thermal solution for the Raspberry Pi 5 on this board. They dissipate heat directly from the SoC area during intensive workloads. No separate fan header or external cooler is required because the cooling assembly is built onto the HAT itself. This makes the kit suitable for enclosed or passively ventilated installations.
