ECC and register logic add one cycle of command buffering, so raw latency is higher than unbuffered alternatives. The 288-pin DDR5 form factor fits only motherboards wired for DDR5 RDIMM signalling.

The kit supplies twelve 96 GB RDIMMs totalling 1.1 TB; the server must provide twelve DDR5 RDIMM slots and a memory controller qualified for 2Rx8 96 GB modules at 4800 MT/s.
