DDR5 4800 Registered ECC Limits

DDR5 4800 (PC5-38400) sets the maximum data rate and the registered ECC design adds a clock cycle of buffering for signal integrity. The 2Rx8 organisation and 288-pin form factor restrict use to motherboards that support registered DDR5 DIMMs and the correct pin-out. Systems requiring unbuffered, non-ECC or a different DDR generation will not accept these modules.
