Industrial 3G modem for M2M telemetry

The NetComm NTC-3000-01 is a compact, rugged 3G cellular modem built for machine-to-machine data telemetry. It provides reliable RS232 serial connectivity for industrial equipment and supports UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, GSM, GPRS and EDGE networks. The unit operates on a wide 5 to 36V DC input and withstands temperatures from -40 to 85°C. It includes a SIM reader with locking tray and removable DIN rail or wall mount options.

Serial and USB 2.0 interfaces with embedded stacks

The modem handles RS232 serial data and power through a single RJ45 port and adds a USB 2.0 port for dial-up networking from a PC or Mac. Embedded Internet and security protocol stacks manage the connection using standard AT commands. It supports Open AT and AirVantage for application development. The multi-carrier GSM certification ensures broad network compatibility for remote monitoring and SCADA deployments.

Replaces bulky fixed-line or single-band radios

This modem upgrades installations that rely on wired serial links or narrow-band radio where cellular coverage now exists. The jump is worth it when you need wide voltage tolerance, industrial temperature range and a locking SIM tray in a 30.0 x 51.0 x 3.15mm form factor. It is not suited for sites requiring high-throughput broadband or modern LTE and 5G data rates.
