USB-C to DisplayPort adapter for 4K 60Hz output

This Nippon Labs adapter connects a USB-C device to a DisplayPort monitor, TV or projector at up to 4K resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It complies with the DisplayPort 1.2 specification and supports HBR2, HBR and RBR data rates. The unit draws power from the USB bus so no external supply is needed. A separate DisplayPort cable is required to complete the link.

Reversible USB-C connector and HDCP support

The USB Type-C plug is smaller and reversible, making insertion easier on compatible laptops, tablets and smartphones. HDCP content protection is supported for playback of protected media. The adapter itself adds no software or drivers; it relies entirely on the host device implementing DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3 over its USB-C port.

Verify your device supports DP Alt Mode

Before ordering, confirm that your computer or phone’s USB-C port carries a DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3 signal, otherwise video will not pass through. The product lists example models such as MacBook 2015 and newer, MacBook Pro 2016 and newer, iPad Pro 2018, Dell XPS 13/15, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th and select Samsung Galaxy phones, but the list is not exhaustive. Buyers whose USB-C ports are data-only or use a different alt mode cannot use this adapter.
