This OWC module adds 16GB of DDR4 3200 memory to compatible QNAP TS-h series NAS units. It is an unbuffered ECC UDIMM built to JEDEC and RoHS standards. The single-rank 1Rx8 design fits the 288-pin slots in the listed models. It replaces QNAP part RAM-16GDR4ECK1-UD-3200.

Sustained operation at DDR4 3200 CL22

The module runs at 1.2V with CL22 latency across continuous workloads such as virtualisation, file serving or backup jobs. Backward compatibility lets it operate at 2133, 2400, 2666 or 2933 MT/s when the platform requires a lower speed. ECC corrects single-bit errors during long uptime periods.

Thermals and power in a NAS chassis

Without a heat spreader the DRAM relies on system airflow for cooling. The 1.2V rating keeps power draw low inside dense multi-bay enclosures. Unbuffered operation avoids the extra registered clock load, helping the memory controller maintain stable timing under typical NAS duty cycles.
