The load-reduced ECC design targets HP Apollo 4200 Gen10 and 6500 Gen10 servers that require registered error-correcting memory. It will not work in standard desktop computers or in systems that accept only unbuffered or regular registered DIMMs.

Server memory upgrade considerations

Each module uses a 288-pin DDR4 form factor and operates at 1.2 V, matching the voltage of the supported Apollo platforms. Because the sticks are load-reduced, they must populate slots that the server firmware recognises as LRDIMM-capable and cannot be mixed with unbuffered or standard registered modules. The kit frees the builder from sourcing individual HP part numbers such as P19047-H21 or P11040-B21.

Capacity headroom for virtualization workloads

The 256 GB total capacity supports dense virtualization, large in-memory databases and high-thread-count compute tasks on the compatible Apollo systems.
