The Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi is a wired outdoor camera that captures 2560×1920 resolution at 20FPS using a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor. It connects via 2.4/5GHz dual-band WiFi and includes a plug-in Chime V2 with ten selectable tunes. The 180° diagonal field of view covers broad entryways, while smart detection distinguishes people, packages and visitors. Two-way audio and preset voice replies let you respond remotely through the Reolink app.

Low-Power Operation and Local Storage

The unit weighs 96g and measures 133mm by 48mm by 23mm, drawing power from the supplied 1.5m adapter with 4.5m and 0.1m extension cables. No battery is included, so the doorbell runs continuously without recharging cycles. Video is stored locally on a microSD card (not supplied) and the device supports ONVIF, RTSP and FTP for integration with existing NVR or NAS systems. Infrared LEDs with an IR-cut filter provide clear night images up to the sensor's range.

Sustained Recording and Network Stability

Motion, scheduled and 24/7 recording modes are available for continuous coverage. The 5GHz band reduces congestion during extended live-view sessions, while the 2.4GHz band offers longer range through walls. H.264 encoding keeps bit-rates manageable for prolonged uploads. Rich notifications deliver up to 25 image alerts per day without a subscription. The IP-rated chassis withstands rain and temperature swings, maintaining performance during weeks of uninterrupted operation.
