The Samsung PM893 is a 1.92TB enterprise solid-state drive built for 2.5-inch drive bays and SAS 6Gb/s host interfaces. It targets servers and storage arrays that require consistent read and write performance for mixed workloads.
2.5-inch SAS integration
The drive fits standard 2.5-inch hot-swap trays and connects directly to SAS backplanes or controllers without adapters. Its SATA-compatible 6Gb/s signalling frees up PCIe lanes for other expansion cards while delivering up to 560 MBps sequential read and 530 MBps sequential write throughput.
256-bit encryption standard
Hardware-based 256-bit encryption is included at no extra configuration step, protecting data at rest across the full 1.92TB capacity. The feature meets common compliance requirements without consuming host CPU cycles or requiring separate key-management software.
