Tool-less drive trays

Twelve 3.5-inch SATA/SAS hot-plug bays accept drives directly in the supplied trays, while the two 1000 W redundant supplies slide in from the rear without cables. The MegaRAID 9361-8i controller is pre-installed, but it only serves the first eight bays; the remaining four require an additional HBA or expander that is not included.

Steady throughput under continuous multi-tenant load

With both CPUs at 2.2 GHz base and 2.9 GHz turbo, the platform sustains high thread counts for hours without throttling, aided by Titanium-efficiency power supplies and front-to-rear airflow. Quad 10GBase-T ports from the Intel X540 controller keep network queues short during sustained replication or backup streams, and IPMI 2.0 provides remote KVM access if a node hangs.
