The Synology RS3626xs is a 2U rackmount network-attached storage server built around a 6-core Intel Xeon D-1726 processor with 16GB of DDR4 ECC memory. It arrives fully assembled with twelve 8TB enterprise drives providing 96TB of raw capacity plus a 3.2TB Synology cache module. The platform targets organisations that need centralised file storage, virtualization hosting, or multi-site collaboration in a validated configuration.

Dual 10GbE and PCIe Gen 4 expansion

Two integrated 10GbE RJ-45 ports support link aggregation for higher throughput, load balancing, and network failover. Synology quotes sequential performance above 6,300 MB/s read and 3,700 MB/s write under its test conditions. Two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots allow future addition of compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters, Fibre Channel cards, or extra SSD caching hardware as requirements change.

Redundant power and tool-less drive access

Redundant power supplies protect service availability from a single power-supply failure. The twelve front bays accept 3.5-inch SATA HDDs or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs with tool-less trays for quick replacement.
