Compact barebone for Intel 8th-gen desktop CPUs

The Thinkstar DESKMINI 310W barebone mini PC accepts socket 1151 Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 desktop processors up to 65 W TDP. It is aimed at builders who want a small-form-factor system using standard desktop silicon rather than mobile parts. The board provides two 260-pin SO-DIMM slots for DDR4 2666 memory up to 32 GB total capacity.

Replaces larger towers and proprietary mini PCs

This chassis replaces a full-size tower when space is limited but desktop-class performance is still required. The jump is worth it when you need triple video outputs — DisplayPort, HDMI and D-Sub — driving up to two displays simultaneously, plus an Ultra M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 slot and two 2.5-inch drive trays for storage expansion.

Limited to 8th-gen socket 1151 and 65 W TDP

The platform does not support older LGA 1151 generations, so CPU choice is restricted to Intel 8th-generation Core, Pentium or Celeron parts. Power delivery caps at 65 W, ruling out higher-wattage desktop chips, and the single M.2 2230 slot only accommodates Wi-Fi modules, not additional storage.
