The Transcend ESD410C is a 2TB external solid-state drive built for outdoor photographers, travellers and content creators. Its rugged casing meets the IPX5 standard and passes a 3-metre drop test to protect data from splashes and impacts. Upgrading from slower or fragile drives

This drive replaces mechanical portable hard drives that cannot survive drops or water exposure. The jump is worth it when you need sustained write performance for ProRes 4K at 60fps recording without dropped frames. It also supersedes older USB flash storage that tops out well below the 20Gbps interface speed. Users who only transfer small documents occasionally will not see the benefit.

2TB capacity with 2000MB/s headroom

The 2TB volume comfortably holds large media libraries, raw photo batches and 4K video projects. Sequential transfers reach up to 2000MB/s via the 20Gbps USB-C connection, while an integrated SLC cache sustains high write speeds for continuous recording. The drive runs out of headroom when workloads demand sustained throughput beyond the cache limit or when capacity is filled with uncompressed 8K footage.
