Drive Tray Caddy for HP ProLiant

This two-pack provides 2.5-inch drive trays that match part numbers 651687-001 and 651699-001. They fit a wide range of HP ProLiant Gen8 and G9 servers including DL360, DL380, DL320e, DL560 and ML350 models. The trays accept SATA hard drives or SSDs for internal storage expansion. Builders needing 3.5-inch bays or non-HP chassis cannot use these trays.

Black Metal Construction with LED

Each caddy is built from black metal with a stable structure designed to dissipate heat and protect the installed drive. Accurate mounting holes align with the server drive bays for tool-less or screw-in installation depending on the chassis. The package includes eight drive mounting screws and a welcome guide. An LED light on the tray indicates drive activity and power status.

Passive Cooling in Server Airflow

The open-frame design relies on the server’s forced-air cooling to maintain drive temperatures during continuous operation. No onboard fan means the tray adds no audible noise beyond the drive itself. Power draw is limited to the SATA drive installed; the caddy circuitry only routes the activity LED signal. Drives spinning at 7200 rpm are supported within the server’s thermal envelope.
