Micro-ATX AM4 Platform

The ASRock B550M-HVS SE is a micro-ATX motherboard built around the AMD PRO 565 chipset for Socket AM4 processors. It supports Ryzen 3000, 4000 G-Series and 5000 series CPUs in a compact form factor suited to smaller chassis. Dual-channel DDR4 memory runs up to 64 GB across two 288-pin slots with a wide range of supported bus clocks including 3200 MHz and overclocked profiles up to 4733 MHz. Onboard graphics output via HDMI and VGA requires a compatible APU.

Passive Chipset Cooling

The PRO 565 chipset operates without an active fan, eliminating a common noise source and reducing long-term dust buildup. Power delivery is handled through a standard 24-pin ATX connector and an 8-pin CPU power header feeding the socket and two DIMM slots. A Realtek RTL8111H controller provides a single Gigabit Ethernet port for wired networking. HD Audio with 8-channel output connects through line-in and line-out mini-jacks on the rear panel.

Two DIMMs One Full-Length Slot

Expansion is limited to one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for a graphics card and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for add-in cards. Storage connects through four SATA 600 ports supporting RAID 0, 1 and 10 plus a single Ultra M.2 Key M slot accepting 2242, 2260 or 2280 drives via PCIe 3.0 or SATA. Rear I/O supplies four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 ports, PS/2 combo, HDMI, VGA and LAN. Builders needing more than two memory modules, a second x16 slot or additional M.2 sockets should consider a larger board.
